C’- shape or bent forward arms

Briefly speaking I can say that with relatively soft materials like horn and sinew, the C-shape works better, but with stiffer materials such as the fiberglass, carbon, the bent forward arms are much better in case of a traditional recurve bow. There were bent forward arms bows among the old horn bows as well, where the handle angle was quite big, for example in the Avar, Hunnish types.

Biocomposite Turkish bows

Technical facts:

Draw weight 30-80#
Total length 47 ½”
Siyahs span 32 ½”
Strung length 42
Maximum draw length 30
Brace height 6 ¾”

This is a shorter version of the Biocomposite Laminated Turkish bow. Precisely was created based on old Turkish bows, in original sizes.

The outer side of the bow is pressed sinew plate. The inner side is pressed „horn” plate, either completely black or lighter. The core is wood.

It can be covered in leather. In this case only the inner layer and the end is uncovered.

This is a really short bow, as a result very dynamic. Rather suitable for thumb release, can be drawn up to 30”. Using threefinger release its maximum draw length is only 28-29”.

Moreover it can be drawn very smoothly, due to the newest biocomposite technology.

recurve

This bow is made with a special lamination technique /TRH/, from special components. (They are neither glass or carbon fibers, nor polyester or epoxyte.)The outer layer is a tendon-like material, and the inner layer is a horn-like synthetic material. On account of these materials, the bow is easy (soft), and fast (incredibly fast) at the same time. It has a long draw-length (34″), and an excellent ability to absorb vibrations.

TRH technology

The TRH technology refers to those special materials that are used for making the bow (it is built of 6 different layers). With these materials we can obtain similar features like the ones of composite bows. The bows made with TRH Lamination are smooth during drawing and fast during shooting. Moreover, since they have quite little handshock, they are accurate. They are more stable than bows made with simple lamination techniques.
